Multi-billion dollar Hispanic founder/CEO of BairesDev launches an invite-only Hispanic professional community

Palo Alto, CA: Nacho DeMarco, founder and CEO of BairesDev ($multi-billion dollar offshore tech leader) is launching Creceras, a professional community for senior Hispanic professionals.

Nacho announces, “Most professional networks, and DEI initiatives, are a complete waste of time and money – where the only benefit is when the food is tasty at the events.  As the CEO of BairesDev, reducing turnover, and increasing employee satisfaction are cool but the extra productivity we’ve seen from people that joined is amazing. Networking and trying to find solutions with other peers gives them a lot of new perspective, tools and contacts. Also the ability to explore the challenges and solutions with other smart people is like you’re getting consulting and best practices from other great people while only paying for your own people. It’s accelerated learning on top of all the other components.”

The network has been in semi-stealth mode for over 6 months and just under 200 professionals have already joined  from around the country.  Today, we're going public at www.creceras.com.

Nacho explains: “We chose the name Creceras, which means, ‘to grow,’ in Spanish because it’s exactly what we wanted.  Plus, it was a $12 domain.”  Creceras is focused on providing vetted senior Hispanic professionals with a set of peers and resources to grow their careers.  The best opportunities and decisions can't be found searching the internet and getting generic advice.  Creceras focuses on providing a set of members who can help each other with professional development, as well as resources unique to the community, such as Hispanic-focused board of directors, dedicated mentorship and coaching.

As Nacho describes, "When I was starting BairesDev, it was lonely.  I was usually the only Hispanic professional.  There wasn't a set of people that I could turn to with questions or places with meaningful resources or peer support.  Even now, there's still not much.  Creceras is based on exactly what I wanted.  Already, we're seeing results with our first 200 members.  Whether it's the guidance on dealing with a tricky situation at work, a connection to a great partnership opportunity or simply meeting new friends at our meet-ups, it's great to see it all happening.  I take special pride when I see the members getting promotions, knowing that Creceras presented them with the resources and saw it through."

Creceras is also finding support in the corporate community.  Currently 23 companies, and growing, are providing their employees with reimbursement for their membership.  As part of both their learning/training and DEI efforts, companies have been supportive of ensuring that their employees can truly grow.  As Nacho comments, "Almost every company says that they want to support their Hispanic professionals in their careers -- but what does that really mean?  Historically, it meant little because companies didn't know what to do specifically, nor did they have the right tools.  Now with Creceras, they can reimburse membership and provide something truly meaningful to their employees -- and we are excited to work with leading companies.  In fact, BairesDev was our first such member."

As core parts of the community, we include:

- A clan or group of around 10 members with similar backgrounds who meet with a professional moderator and support each other in their careers and lives.

- Frequent meet-ups both in-person and online to build communities.

- A candidate board to find great candidates for open positions.

- Community resources: discussion boards, member directories and interest group

- In person lounge access (coming) -- places in major cities where members can drop in and meet up or just have a place to work and hang out when visiting.  The designs are already so cool.

Nacho is currently self-funding Creceras, just like he did with BairesDev.  He is excited to support the community, "I often hop into the events and meet people.  It's fun."  Currently, Creceas is invite only, but if you'd like be considered on the waitlist, it's at: https://www.creceras.com/apply
